Our Executive Board plans events to promote professional development, STEM

education, networking, and much more! We’re always looking for motivated leaders to help out.

Conversations with Dr. Jennifer Yoon

  • Wednesday, February 19th, 7:00pm

  • Minato Sushi Bar, 1013 N. Charles St., Baltimore, MD 21201

  • Details: Dr. Yoon is OTT’s Technology Licensing Analyst. She has a PhD in Physiology from the University of Maryland, with a focus on metastatic breast cancer, and did a postdoctoral fellowship at the Greenebaum Cancer Center. She currently focuses on the evaluation and market positioning of newly disclosed technologies, and develops initial marketing strategies for new University inventions.

  • Details: Have you ever wondered how to apply your scientific background to public policy? Do you want to know more about molding young minds at a private high school or college? Join us for a career panel with professionals providing insight into the world of policy and education.

Ekemini Riley (Udofa): The President of AWIS Greater Baltimore


Our president was invited to speak at TEDxBaltimoreWomen 2013. Her talk focused on “Connecting women and STEM”.

Chapter Award: Star Status!

  • We are officially a 2013 AWIS Star Chapter!  This award honors chapters who have accomplished many of the key objectives outlined in the AWIS Strategic Plan. The award encourages chapters to perform specific activities designed to ensure that women in STEM fields are able to achieve their full potential.

Open Positions on Our Executive Board

  • A few of our executive board members are transitioning, so we have a few openings on our executive board! Our positions are flexible, with room for more than one leader.
