UPCOMING EVENTS

january event - workshop on negotiating skills!

The AWIS Greater Baltimore chapter invites you to an interactive workshop on Wednesday, January 26 at 4 p.m. ET led by Meg Fellows, a Booz Allen Hamilton Strategic Management Consultant for the NIH.

**Note: While the title of this workshop is “Negotiation Skills for Women in STEM”, many of the skills and topics covered will be relevant and applicable to people of other genders. Non-binary colleagues are welcome to attend**

As of 2021, male STEM grads began their careers earning an average of $4K more than their equally qualified female counterparts. And though professionally balancing confidence with humility can be difficult for anyone to navigate, it is undeniable that women in STEM face unique challenges when advocating for their own advancement.

Whether you are looking to negotiate for a better salary or secure a place on your dream project, join the Association for Women in Science (AWIS) Greater Baltimore Chapter to learn essential negotiation skills for women in STEM. Our free workshop will be led by Meg Fellows, a Booz Allen Hamilton Strategic Management Consultant for the NIH. Meg comes to us with nearly a decade in leadership and professional development, having led training workshops across the US on strategic workforce and career growth. She currently consults for the NIH Office of the Director on executive performance and the growth of a dynamic and diverse scientific workforce.

This workshop is free to AWIS members AND non-members. Please register through Eventbrite to receive the Zoom link.
